A coverage map: where our records reach, not where vegan businesses are.

How we check

To meet the rule, the company itself, its owners and every parent must run no animal business at all. Honey and propolis, livestock feed, an ingredient sold into meat, dairy, egg or fish processing, and software built for animal agriculture all count as an animal business.

We check ownership against the official register, not just what a company says about itself. A company’s own pages can show that it has an animal business. They cannot prove that it has none, or prove who owns it. A press report is a lead to investigate; the business cannot pass while that lead is unresolved.

Unresolved is not failed.

What we do not do: contact companies, name people, name companies on this map, fetch past a site’s robots.txt, or estimate. Checks are repeated yearly and at once on new information. A wrong item is retracted with a lesson and stays visible as history.

A suggestion gives me something to check. It is not a published fact, and it has to be reviewed before it changes anything here. I’ll reply when I can.
